THE CAGE OF LIFE

Our life can get quite complicated and heavy to bear from time to time.  There are times that we feel a desire to escape a certain situation or the pressure of life altogether.  It can feel as if we are a prisoner of our own life.

This leads to an interesting concept of existence.  The possibility that as a life being, we enter a type of cage when we are born into a life form.  We serve our time within that caged enclosure, our physical body.  We are set free from our captivity when we die, the door of our cage (physical self) opens at which point we are set free.

While we are free, not held in any type of enclosure, we are liberated to simply be.  To exist with no form, no expectations, a type of nothingness.  This existence can be a bit too empty, at which point we choose our next cage to enter.  We select the next enclosure that we wish to experience.  Perhaps this may not be a choice, but more of a random occurrence, where we find ourselves newly encapsulated in a new life form.  For example, upon death we have been freed from a human body, and now find ourselves within a blade of grass.  We live the life of a blade of grass until that grass dies.  At that point we are free again, and we are liberated from the experience of being a blade of grass to move on to experience yet another type of life form.

Each life form is a type of caged existence.  We are held in there, experiencing exactly what we can within that physical form and surrounding environment.  We are “stuck” there until the cage door is opened for us to leave.  In terms of life, the cage door only opens upon death of the living entity.

While in each life form, it is in our best interest to make the most of the situation as it will inevitably change.  Each life experience is different in terms of duration and experience.  Living the life of a mouse is vastly different from that of a shark or cactus.  Thus, it is important to fully live the life of the form in which we find ourselves.  In the example of the mouse, it is wise to live the best life of a mouse.  Experience that type of life to the maximum until it comes to a close.

It is just a matter of time before the life energy is freed from the physical form in which it finds itself.  Each lifetime experience lends a clear understanding of what that life form goes.  The life energy (aka soul) gains a greater awareness and appreciation for what each of those lifeforms experiences as it progresses in life.  The ultimate goal for the soul is to fully understand all life forms so that it can “graduate” with that wisdom and mastery.
